Building a network of expressways connecting every county in Anhui province has been a plan set by the provincial traffic administration to improve the people’s living standards and the Gubang Expressway, which is still under construction, is one of the three major projects of the plan, and hence, has attracted attentions from all walks of life.
Recently, People’s Daily, Xinhua, Anhui Daily, Anhui Satellite TV and many other mainstream media have visited ACEG Road and Bridge Engineering Company Limited’s on-going project – Grand Bridge Kuaihe on the 02 contractual section of Gubang Expressway for onsite interviews.
The media said they were very interested in the construction technologies the bridge had been applying, so they came to focus and follow up the technical difficulties and construction processes of the bridge and keep reporting on them.
According to the technical staff of the project, Grand Bridge Kuaihe，with a total length of 2, 611KM, is a key and regulatory subproject of Gubang Expressway and also a bridge across shipping lanes. The main bridge is 135 meters long and is designed as a steel box basket handle tied arch bridge. It is also the first composite girder tie arch bridge on an expressway in Anhui Province, China.
Through the unremitting efforts of all the project staff，the construction of the Grand Bridge Kuaihe，was completed two months ahead of the contractual schedule and officially opened for trial operation on July 1, 2021.
